GOOD TIMES FLOW AT ATLANTA CINCO DE MAYO FESTIVITIES
Forget the Sunday Siesta and Head to the Nearest Fiesta

ATLANTA (April 24, 2019) – In the scheme of Mexican history, Cinco de Mayo may have been relegated to minor holiday status. But in Atlanta, it’s a good enough cause to roll out the tortillas and let the margaritas flow like water. With a wide variety of food and drink specials on tap, Atlanta’s best restaurants will be working hard to make your day muy especial.

Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar

Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar in Virginia-Highland is keeping it authentic with some tasty Mexican-influenced specials such as chicken enchiladas verdes ($12) and carne asada fajitas ($14). To wash it down, guests can sip on the Atkins Park paloma (Espolon Blanco, grapefruit juice, soda water and lime – $8) and the spicy cucumber margarita (Espolon Reposado, Svedka Cucumber Lime, triple sec, lemon and lime juice, agave nectar and fresh jalapeno slices – $9).

Babalu

Babalu celebrates Cinco de Mayo all weekend long, May 3-5, with five flavors of mojitos for just $5 each. Choose among classic, pineapple, passion fruit, blackberry or strawberry and pair it with some of the Midtown restaurant’s shareable small plates, tacos and more.

Chido & Padre’s

Chido & Padre’s team is adding a few bars to accommodate the Cinco de Mayo crowd in Buckhead. They do believe the fresh air on the patio will make the margaritas go down in the most delightful way. Chido has a great variety Mexican specialties, and a great happy hour from 3-7pm every day!

Tin Lizzy’s Cantina

The margarita’s the thing at all 12 Tin Lizzy’s Cantina locations on May 4 and 5. Guests are sure to savor every sip of their Camarena tequila margarita ($5). Tin Lizzy’s invites guests to add a floater of Grand Marnier or tequila for $3. There is never too much of a good thing!
